Hi, dear reader! I'm Aly, the humble writer behind the Sirens of Saelyn, Aeromancy Academy, and all the other pieces of my heart I'm proud to release into the world. I'm a wife, mom, author and ghostwriter, along with being a generally creative, crafty person who indulges in a LOT of different hobbies. I'm also (last but definitely not least) a Catholic. You might see just a bit of that influence in my writing. ;)
I started writing at age 6, as a way to process the world and my emotions about it--as well as to capture everything I was learning. This process continued until I fell in love with books around 4th or 5th grade.
Then I started telling my own stories. I started my first epic fantasy story in my freshman year of high school. I might release it one day.
Then came the ideas for the Sirens of Saelyn YA mermaid fantasy series, plus a kajillion other stories I hope I have time on this earth to write.
I've also dabbled in fanfiction through the years, mostly Disney crossover style, but at one point I did actually attempt a Death Note fanfic. *shrugs* Maybe I'll come back to it one of these days, when I'm not as busy wrangling my three young kids.
I have an intense passion for telling stories of triumph over self and radical transformation. (I'm also a sucker for sweet romance, especially enemies-to-lovers.) My characters are put through the wringer--but for good reasons. And being an author has taught me so much about trusting God as the ultimate and perfect Author of all our lives.
You can be sure there will never be any smut, unnecessarily graphic violence, or vulgarity in my books.
I hope you'll enjoy the stories I share with the world, and I hope they'll inspire you to do your own soul-searching and truth-finding--and maybe some story telling of your own!
